Just set templates for each spec that are not affected by any of this, done. It took me like 14 tries before killing it, I haven't touched mage tower since legion, so to be honest I fet it was way easier. I did the Fel Bear form without any special gear (just the gear I had in my character, didn't cared about stats/trinket effect and full Dragonflight gear) or even consumables, except the drums of fury. You know, i would actually want that they would be using the Mage Tower for newer expansions as well so you maybe could get some currency to upgrade armor or something. I don't even care about the rewards, but more about that nice little challenge. And they clearly don't care about balancing between the specs, so they would just throw Devastation into one of the ranged oriented DPS challenges and Evoker into the Healing challenge. They could have at least given Evoker access to the challenges. Seriously did you expect them to waste resources on old content for new classes? Its better spent elsewhere imo. Those sets provide substantial bonuses in the Mage Tower and are worth using if you have them. One change that might be an oversight is that some item sets from Dragonflight currently work in the Mage Tower namely, the Primal Ritualist set and the World PvP set bonuses. Right now Party Sync and Crafted gear are even better than before when compared to SoO and other raid items. However, with this change, some gear like SoO gear is scaled poorly compared to other options. This change impacts which pieces of gear are BiS for Timewalking sets. With the scaling changes, the Mage Tower now scales gear down to item level 120 instead of ilvl 50 from pre-DF. Since Dragonflight changed how item levels scale while leveling, there are a couple of changes this time around. With Patch 10.0.5, the Mage Tower returns once more, allowing players to chase after its rewards.
